Die “Dreadnought” (deutsch: “Fürchtenichts”) – Klasse war Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts der heiße Scheiß im Kriegsschiffbau. Sie steht hier symbolisch für das verhängnisvolle Weltmachtstreben, in welches sich das Deutsche Reich unter Wilhelm II. begeben hat. Im Wettrüsten dieser Zeit spiegeln sich meiner Meinung nach mehrere Komponenten typisch reaktionärer Denkmuster wieder – Militarismus, Nationalismus, Religion und Wirtschaftsmacht. Wozu die Verbindung und Übersteigerung dieser irrationalen Konzepte führen kann, wissen wir alle. Hat die Welt dieses Konkurrenzdenken mittlerweile überwunden…?

Übrigens ist das Cover eine Umsetzung dieses Textes, den Fritte (skrash.com/illustration-2) nach diversen wilden und fruchtbaren gemeinsamen Brainstormings mit Elementen aus „Tangle Foot“ vermischt hat…
